This week from the Soap Blog Coalition!!!

Find out the latest rumors and spoilers about The Bold and the Beautiful's Forrester, Logan and Marone families. (Daytime Confidential)

Sonny makes it all about him, Jax and Carly make it all about Sonny, Lulu makes it all about her boyfriend and the writers make a mockery of the legal system. Either GH is airing reruns from 2007 or they are completely out of new ideas. (Serial Drama)

The Young and the Restless is ripe with evil goddess plots these days and while from where I sit gazing through my crystal ball in order to catch up on the action taking place in that tormented city on a daily basis, I have mixed emotions. While adore the darkness, I also genuinely relate to the sweet viewers who just don't get it. (Soap Opera Examiner)

On the Wub Tub Blog: Alberta Wubs walks in the Autism Speaks event in LA with DOOL's Terrell Ransom Jr.! Take a look at some more May sweeps, Stagecoach photos, and Vanessa Marcil rumors. (Can we really be STILL talking about this!?) (Wubs)

Spoilers for the Week of April 25!!!

This weeks spoilers are now posted. It's a busy week as Amanda's stalker continues to cause turmoil in her and Jake's life, Annie blackmails JR, Scott protects his family, Damon learns the truth and much more!

CASTING NEWS - Damon's "Father" Comes to Pine Valley!

Robert Curtis Brown has been cast as Paul Miller, the man that Damon always believed to be his father. He debuts April 28 when he comes to Pine Valley to visit Damon. The question I have is, why cast the man who is not Damon's father but still leave Hillary dangling!? AMC has not contacted Carmen Thomas-Paris about reprising her role of Hillary, but have said they have not ruled out bringing her back.

If you want Hillary and Carmen back in Pine Valley, please make your voice heard! Respond on the message board to the Hillary Wilson articles on the Official All My Children Website and SoapNET.com! Or reach out via email to AMC Producer Julie Carruthers at Julie.Carruthers@abc.com or ABC Daytime President Brian Frons at Brian.Frons@abc.com! You can also write the show: 500 Buena Vista Street, Burbank, CA 914521.

Airdate for New Writers Work....

May 12. Mark that day because that is the day that new AMC headwriters, David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski's material will begin airing. Will it be the beginning of the end, or will it be the dawning of a brand new day!? Let's try and be cautiously optimistic that things will keep going forward in the right direction. Remember, things could be worse, we could still have Pratt!

All My Children's Jill Larson proved why she is a daytime treasure with her performance in this week's Palmer/James Mitchell tribute episode. Read the review at On-Air On-Soaps in Michael's Blog . (Michael Fairman Soaps)

The brief, dramatic return of Kendall and Zach to All My Children was pretty stellar...if you were watching their scenes on mute. (Serial Drama)

New Michael on General Hospital is clearly different than old Michael and yet another recast of a Corinthos child is solid proof that GH adores the recast thing. (Soap Opera Examiner)

Sunday Surgery at the Wub Tub Blog finds Tyler Christopher holding Alberta Wubs on the "Rock The Soap Cruise" and a bit of dish about May Sweeps. (Wubs)

Former All My Children star and soon-to-be The Young and the Restless star Eden Riegel visits with Daytime Confidential about starting at Y&R, her upcoming ACME Comedy performance and renewed interest in a second season of Imaginary Bitches. (Daytime Confidential)

I'm doling out the slaps this week on All My Children! Who do you think deserves it most? (Pine Valley Bulletin)

Rebecca Budig's special AMC commentary confirmed two things for the Serial Drama girls: 1.) she tops their "Soaps to have cocktails with" list and 2.) nobody, anywhere, ever is even marginally interested in Damon's story. (Serial Drama)

Surely the only reason soap opera residents did not receive this critical government form is because the only items their letter carriers deliver are envelopes containing threats or DNA test results. Soapers would NEVER notice a letter from the US Census Bureau and face it, it would be way too complicated for these transient residents to fill out. (Soap Opera Examiner)

I'm Doling Out the Slaps This Week!!

Two individuals in particular need a slap this week and a loud, "snap out of it!" Let's start with JR. Admittedly I've never been a big fan of this particular incarnation of JR. But after the death of Babe, the devotion to Little A, the cancer, the kinder and gentler JR emerging, I was coming around. That ended abruptly a few weeks ago. And even though I am also, admittedly not an Annie fan, for JR to continue to plot against her when she did indeed save his life makes me sick. She didn't do it for the right reasons, but she did it and he lived because of it. He doesn't have to like her, but he should at least be a little grateful. But he continued to play her, and then what happens? He gets glimpses of Annie in rare moments of honesty and vulnerability. And that just makes him plot even harder!

Conveniently JR's wife Marissa comes down with a case of swine flu and it all falls into place for him. She can't come to Washington with him so he will pay off a member of Congress to get Annie an invitation to speak about bone marrow donation, and while in Washington, he will try to seduce her. Lucky for him Brooke was in a car accident and Adam couldn't come. I can't slap JR hard enough for this plot. A bone marrow donation saved his sorry excuse for a life and he uses it to advance his own agenda?? What a mockery of a very important cause. And worse, it works! JR sets up a spy cam in his briefcase and before you know it, he and Annie are horizontal. They two of them are absolutely disgusting. All Annie ever spouts off about is how much she loves Adam and because of his health he can't have sex with her for what, a few days? A few weeks? And suddenly she's so freakin horny that she'll sleep with someone she supposedly hates? And what did JR think he was going to prove by sleeping with this step mother? Sure he may succeed in getting her out of Adam's life, but he may also succeed in getting Adam out of his own life. Smooth JR. And your guilt over it all? Too little too late. SLAP

Then we have Greenlee. Greenlee with the giant chip on her shoulder. I'd love to be sympathetic to her because she is one of my faves. But sorry Greens, you need to get a grip. This betrayal she keeps spouting off about doesn't exist. Everyone thought she was dead. Everyone yes, moved on because YOU WERE GONE A WHOLE YEAR!!! What does she expect, that everyone should just cry, grieve, gnash their teeth, beat their chests in horror and scream out that their lives are now over because Greenlee is dead? Get over yourself honey.

But that isn't even the part I'm slapping her for this week! The slap is being given because as she confronted Kendall about sleeping with Ryan, she finds out that Kendall was driving the car that ran her off the road. First of all, why is she even remotely shocked that Kendall and Ryan slept together?
Um Greenlee, Kendall is your BFF, you know how she loves grief sex. Remember the last time you "died" in the bomb shelter and she grief sexed up Aidan, your fiance!? Anyway, Greenlee immediately jumps to the conclusion that Kendall deliberately tried to kill her because she wanted Ryan for herself. Say huh??? What kind of weird ass conclusion is that to come to? For all Kendall knew Greenlee was dead and she and Ryan were not together, so how does that equate to Kendall wanting Ryan for herself? Kendall is with Zach trying to repair their marriage. I'm so perplexed by this Greenlee. The mind continually boggles at her newest accusations or conclusions. And she doesn't seem to get that David kept her from her family, her fiance, her friends. Yes, he saved her life, because that's what he does dammit! But her buying his line of BS about how he didn't want them to have to grieve her twice is kind of insulting the intelligence of Greenlee. She was alive when he found her, therefore they would not have thought she was dead the first time. But this slap is for Greenlee. Greenlee, snap the hell out of it! SLAP

Who would you like to slap?

Aiden Turner Out on Dancing with the Stars!!!!

The train wreck that is Kate Gosselin remains this week, but our Aiden got the boot. How can you compete with someone who constantly has a new drama or controversy? Apparently that kind of drama makes for good TV. Not in my world, but it is what it is. Aiden has had a rough few weeks on Dancing with the Stars and never really did seem to completely overcome his nerves. But it was fun while it lasted!!! Now, bring him back to AMC where he belongs!!!

Happy Birthday Sarah Michelle Gellar!!!

Happy Birthday wishes to AMC's original Kendall Hart, Sarah Michelle Gellar!! She celebrates her 33rd birthday today! Hard to believe isn't it? She was a mere 17 years old when she started on AMC. Time sure does fly!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Happy Birthday Kelli Giddish!!!

AMC's dearly departed Di Henry, Kelli Giddish, celebrates her 30th birthday today!!! What a whirlwind of a year for Kelli! She starred in the new series for Fox, Past Life, which was canceled after a mere three episodes. But no sooner had that news hit than Kelli was cast as the lead in a new NBC series by Jerry Bruckheimer called The Chase. In this show, Kelli plays Annie Frost, a U.S. Marshall who heads up a Texas unit devoted to finding dangerous fugitives. No airdate is available yet for this show.

Happy Birthday John Furey!!

Happy Birthday wishes go out today to John Furey, the scary and freaky weird Lee Hawkins! Remember Lee? He was seeking revenge on Adam (who he believed was responsible for the death of his wife Joy) so he kidnapped Junior and Hayley. He gave Hayley a tattoo with lead paint that made her go wacko! He also set the bomb that blew up Holidays, Hayley and Mateo's restaurant, killing his own daughter Camille in the process!

Is Janet Returning??

Nobody's saying specifically but signs seem to be pointing that way! Let's break it down shall we? First of all, we have Amandafan, watching and being all freaky stalkery towards Amanda. Then we have some very well placed yet cryptic comments. First from Chrishell Stause's Twitter where she says, "You guys are def gonna like were Amanda's story is headed. Ask and you shall receive! That's all I'm gonna say!" I know I've asked for Janet's return!!! And then we have MSN.com's AMC page which states: "One of the most frustrating things about being in this biz is hearing scoop you can't share! I learned someone very exciting is coming back to "All My Children," but can't even give you a hint. Ack!" Hmmm....curiouser and curiouser! What do you think? Is it time for Janet from Another Planet to come back? My fingers are crossed!

Spoilers for the Week of April 11!!!

This weeks spoilers are posted! I don't know about you but I find the whole Annie/JR thing disgusting! And hey, poor Scott huh? He loses Marissa to JR and now well, he had too much integrity to mess too much with Annie, so JR gets her too. Also this week, Kendall and Greenlee have it out, Greenlee and Zach have a heart to heart, Angie thinks she knows the root of Damon's issues, and David has his day in court!

Do You Recognize This Woman?

It's Olivia Birkelund (ex-Arlene)!! Ahh Arlene, one of my all time favorite characters. She was a tramp without the heart of gold. Let's take a little walk down Arlene's memory lane shall we?

She was who she was. She didn't care about anyone but herself. She hardly even cared about her daughter Hayley. But she kept trying to insinuate herself into Hayley's life. She even got a drunken Adam to marry her! Adam was so distraught over believing Stuart was dead (and not knowing that it was Arlene who mowed him down in her car while she herself was drunk!) that he married her. He didn't want anything more to do with anyone and thought by marrying Arlene he would successfully push his family away. Arlene even managed to get pregnant by Adam again, but ended up miscarrying the child.

As for Hayley, well Arlene always played like Hayley was her life but that didn't stop her from bedding Hayley's husband Alec on his wedding night to Hayley! Nor did it stop her from trying to seduce Mateo on more than one occasion (OK, one time was while on Libidozone, not that this horny mom needed it!). Hayley was so distraught to find another man of hers in Arlene's bed that she strangled Arlene and left her for dead. Then, seeing Arlene's body on the deck of the Fidelity, Adam tossed her overboard! Hayley was so guilt ridden over believing she killed her own mother that she started to take on Arlene's persona. Scary!!! It was while Hayley was on trial for Arlene's murder that Mateo brought her to the courtroom! He found her hiding out in the Carribean. Read more about Arlene on the PVB's Bio!

Final Airdate for David Canary Announced!

David Canary last airs as iconic Adam Chandler on Friday, April 23. As previously reported, the death of Palmer Cortlandt (played by the late James Mitchell and who's tribute show is set to air on April 20) is going to greatly impact Adam. With his own health failing, will Adam decide that life is too short and decide to leave everything behind and try to enjoy what is left of his life? Will he take Brooke with him?

Ricky Paull Goldin's New Show to Air May 2!!!

As previously reported, Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) has been working on a new series for TLC, entitled Seeing vs. Believing. The show is set to premiere on the cable network on May 2 at 8:00 pm EST. CASTING NEWS: Michael Nouri Comes to Pine Valley!!!

Move over Jack! Getting Erica back isn't going to be too easy it seems. AMC has cast Michael Nouri in the contract role of Caleb McGraw, a man who catches the attention of one Ms. Kane! And there first meeting will most certainly be memorable as the plane Erica is in crashes into his mountain home and destroys it. Oh my. Nouri begins airing on May 24. The acting vet has many many credits to his name including Damages, The Proposal, Army Wives and one of my faves, Flashdance!

Aiden Makes it Past the Next Round on DWTS!!!

And so it goes, Aiden Turner (ex-Aidan) has once again made it through to the next week on Dancing with the Stars! His Quick Step wasn't the best of the night, only giving him and partner Edyta a score of 20 points, but it was enough (with call in votes) to bring him back for Week 4!

Alas poor Buzz Aldrin got the boot this week. The 80 year old legend is probably quite a hoofer on a dance floor. But competition wise, he didn't make the grade.

Do you play "Spot the AMCer" every week like I do? Who will be there the next time to cheer on Aiden? So far we've seen Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Vincent Irizarry (David), Chrishell Stause (Amanda) and Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake). Have I missed any?

Line of the Day - April 6!!!

Colby gets the zinger of the day, directed of course, at Annie. Colby returns home and fills in JR and Annie on the accident and Brooke's condition. Annie is ticked, of course, that Adam blew her off to sit vigil with Brooke and decides to head to the hospital. Colby LOTD has her saying to Annie, "Annie nobody wants you at the hospital, why don't you do something productive like pluck your eyebrows."

What Do You Mean No Petey!?

ABC Soaps in Depth is reporting that Daniel Kennedy (Pete) will not be returning for the April 20 show, Palmer Cortlandt's tribute! How can this be? What possible reason could Pete have for not being at his own father's memorial, he's in Brazil chasing after some hot chick?? As previously reported, Taylor Miller (Nina) and Gillian Spencer (Daisy) will be returning.

Aiden Wants to Return to AMC!!!

AOL.com has a new interview up with AMC alum and current Dancer with the Stars, Aiden Turner. He states that he is open to a return to AMC and thinks there is a great story out there for Aidan Devane. And I couldn't agree more! Check out the full interview here where Aiden talks about DWTS, AMC and his new internet venture!

Spoilers for the Week of April 4!!!

This weeks spoilers are now posted.

Brooke is in a car accident with Damon and Colby and Adam stays at Brooke's side (much to Annie's dismay!), David's trial gets underway and Greenlee inches closer to finding out the truth about her accident. Newbies Ciro (photographer) and the new DA premiere this week. Annie is on cloud 9 with all the attention she receives in DC and Kendall and Greenlee come face to face!

Happy Easter everyone!

Nurse Gayle Returns!!!

Anna Koonin returns this week as Nefarious Nurse Gayle to testify against David. Will she send him up the river or will she end up sinking herself... again!?

Robb Derringer is the New DA in Pine Valley!

AMC has hired Robb Derringer as the new DA. He debuts this week and let's hope he lasts longer than the last two DA's... Mr. Willis who killed himself rather than be blackmailed and Mr. North who was bashed in the head and killed by his wife. The DA position in Pine Valley has proven to be a dangerous one, no wonder Liza is so reluctant to go after that position!

Walt Willey Visits Dr. Oz!!!

Walt Willey
(Jack) along with Maurice Bernard (ex-Nico, Sonny - GH), Allison Sweeney (Days) and Kassie DePaiva (OLTL) will be appearing on The Dr. Oz Show on Friday, April 16! Check local listings for time and channel.
