Spoilers for the Week of January 26!!!
A Tale of Two Mothers!!
It's a nightmare for two Pine Valley women this week when their mother's from hell arrive at their wedding shower, courtesy of an invite by Erica! Laila Robins plays the role of Claire Williams, Reese's mother. You may recall that Reese and her mother are not on very good terms since Reese came out to her parents. And it doesn't seem like they will be making amends on this visit!
Anna Stuart will be reprising her role of the wayward Mary Smythe, who has been living in Europe since we last saw her in 2005. Greenlee is never too happy to see her mother and I doubt this visit will be the exception! Look for both women on January 29.

Josh and Fergie's Wedding Album!!!
As previously reported, Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo) and Fergie tied the knot on January 10. On newstands now, the January 26 issue of Us Weekly has an amazing eight page spread on the lavish, estimated $1 million affair! With a cake that looked like a castle, the bride and groom both sporting Dolce & Gabbana and rings custom designed by H. Stern jewelers, is it any wonder that lavish is the word I chose! But Josh is still Josh. While Kid Rock and Slash, as well as Will I. Am from the Black Eyed Peas performed, while celeb guests like Mario Lopez, James Caan, Rebecca Romijn and Stacy Keibler danced the night away, and while the Moet et Chandon champagne flowed, Josh made sure that he got what he wanted too... a keg of Michelob Ultra!

Debbi Morgan and Cornelius Smith Get Nominations!!!
The nominations for the 40 Annual NAACP Image Awards have been released and two AMC stars are included in the nominations this year!!! Debbi Morgan (Angie) has been nominated in the Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Series category, along with four actresses from The Young and the Restless (Christel Khalil, Eva Marcille, Nia Peeples, and Tonya Lee Williams). For the Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Series category, AMC's Cornelius Smith, Jr. (Frankie) was nominated alongside four men, Bryton McClure (Y&R), Dan Martin (B&B), Montell Williams (GL) and Texas Battle (B&B).
Seeing the nominations spelled out in such a way (only 4 soaps represented - only two in the actress category!), shows me that soaps have a long way to go in incorporating more diversity in their stories. This is 2009, soaps are in trouble as it is. Step it up networks!!
The show will air live on Thursday, February 12 on Fox at 8:00 pm EST.
