Eileen Herlie, Remembered

So many of you have asked and now it's been confirmed. AMC will dedicate the December 19 show to the late Eileen Herlie (Myrtle) who passed away on October 8 from complications of pneumonia.

On December 18, Erica will phone Zach with the news of Myrtle's passing. Then on December 19, those closest to her, Erica, Zach, Bianca and Opal, will all receive gifts from Myrtle and look back at their time with her in flashbacks as the town gathers for a memorial service at Zach's newly rebuilt casino. Zach names a room at the casino in her honor, the "Fargate Carnival Room." Oh my, I'm crying already!

  1. I love Myrtle almost as much as I love Katzy.

  2. I need to pull out my old photos because I think I have an autographed photo from Eileen with a personalized note. She was commenting about how a certain actor/actress on the show had some of her mail and didn't give it to her for awhile. She sounded annoyed. I'm going to go try and find that ...

  3. I hope they will not leave the "Myrtle story line" hanging. She had such a nice friendship with Zach. It would be timely for her to pass away due to the tornado, i.e, the burried under the rubble of the boutique. Eileen was a wonderful actress! She was great in Rebecca. One of my favorite oldies.
