After a very high profile departure from Guiding Light, Beth Ehlers (Taylor) came to AMC on the heels of her long time co-star Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake). Now, with the move to LA coming fast, the hits keep on coming. First it was Aiden Turner (Aidan) and now the PVB learned that Beth Ehlers will be departing Pine Valley by December. Beth issued a statement indicating the split with AMC was a mutual between her and the show.
I can't say this comes as a surprise since AMC seemed to have a "now that we got her what do we do with her" attitude. But it's a shame it happens just when something is developing between Taylor and Tad. A couple I was all ready to root for.
Strap on your seat belts folks, looks like we're in for a bumpy ride between now and moving time!
I never particularly liked "Taylor", but I agree that they didn't use Beth as well as they could have. I keep holding my breath as to "who's next?"
ReplyDeleteHmm I wonder if it also has to w/ what she said in that interview w/ Stardish radio about JR M. (Brot) [*the gist* he's not an actor, it was real hard for her to work w/ him since she basically had to carry the scenes w/ him. Although to be fair, she did clear the air with JR. M who was hurt by her comments] and Pratt [he writes mostly camp, amongst other things].
ReplyDeleteAs for who's out next....well Daytime Confidential is reporting Brianne Moncrief (Colby) is out and that the cast aren't happy about it.
I have to think if it had anything to do with the Stardish interview, she would have been let go at the time. That was months ago.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are tossing the name Jill Larson around as being let go. But she's on recurring, so it's not really a matter of being let go. They either use her or they don't.
Oh, by the way, Chrishell "tweeted" (?) that she was moving to LA anyway, so "she" wasn't letting anything out. So, guess Amanda will be on the show for a while longer. Of course, they could decide not to sign her for an extension. Any news about Vincent?
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if she would be let go since she has a family with kids and has been in NYC for a long time now. I'm kinda surprised that RPG is going across country.
ReplyDeleteAgain, another big missed opportunity from the writing team, and you're reading something from one of Pratt's bigger supporters.
