Do you know what episode they sent in for Outstanding Drama Series?
ReplyDeleteThis Jake/Joey is the best ever, a close 2nd is Michael Brainard. Seems like AMC did a 'Benjamin Button' and de-aged Jake.
ReplyDeleteThe scene where he confronted Janety, and then reassured her was great.
AMC is my favorite soap, by far, but I don't see how they got a nom for Outstanding Writing and OLTL didnt. OLTL's headwriter cultivates the show's history, whereas Chuck Pratt destroyed AMC's. A lot of people will be pissed if AMC wins.
ReplyDeleteTomCat630: Joey hasn't actually been de-aged. Ricky Paull Goldin is 45 in real-life, the same age as Michael Brainard. Jake should only be 31 in real-life time, but was aged along the way on the show. Michael Lowry (1996-2000) is 42 in real life, and J. Eddie Peck (2000-2003) is 51 in real life. Goldin plays the role more goofy and immature than the other actors,so maybe that's why you thought he was younger.
david: Read Goldin's age the same as Lowery. His IMDb listing is incorrect. He has added several layers to Jake - "immature" doesn't, IMO, cover it as much as being less "staid."
