A few months ago, news came down that ABC was cutting the amount of original episodes that would be aired per year for the soaps. Meaning, repeats would be shown more often then just the holidays. That is now a reality. SoapOperaNetwork reports that starting October 27, ABC Daytime will air the first day of repeats that is not an actual holiday. The show, which originally aired on August 31, 2004, features Ryan declaring his love to a surprised Greenlee, Zach lashes out at Maria, Kendall gets drunk and vents about Ryan and Greenlee to Ethan and Zach gets ready to host a big party at the casino. ABC claims that these episodes are being used to enhance current storylines and give viewers a chance to see episodes they loved in the past. I will give them one thing, at least it's not an episode that aired two months ago. If they are going to do this, I'd much rather see older episodes.
I just wish they would show something a little older than that. Like during the Greenlee/Leo, Ryan/Gillian days.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see the episode where Bianca was raped and Kendall consoled Erica during that storm in 2003. It was such a spooky, but WONDERFUL episode!!
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited to see some old episodes. I have some on tape that I still watch now and again. So, do you know how often we will see these old episodes?
ReplyDeleteIt just shows...as much as things change, they really stay the same.
ReplyDeleteSo not a favor of soap opera repeats.
I think they are going to have at least 20 repeats to start not including the holiday schedule. Don't know if I read that or what.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of repeats either.
