It's spoiler time! This week Ryan investigates his suspicions about Zach's death, Greenlee goes to see Scott in prison with an offer, Annie becomes more and more unstable, and Damon and Liza hit the sheets!
I am completely on board with Damon and Liza hooking up. I've been waiting for this to happen for months. I'm just sorry he's leaving the show soon... right?
I think we've all seen the Damon/Liza deal coming for months. I know it sounds perverted, perhaps, but I like the idea. Kinda like history repeating itself. I hated the character "Damon" for a long time but he's grown on me and I think there are so many good storylines awaiting. Is he being recast?
If the "new writers" would have followed thru with what Lorraine Broderick had set up for them this story had a ton of potential going back years. It could have involved the Hubbards, the Martin clan, Marian & Hilary could have returned (both actresses were willing). Having Hillary back could have brought back some Wallingford/Tyler peeps and created more storyline for Brooke without requiring Adam. But Broderick managed to salvage Damon AND Liza from Pratt's idiocy, Kreizman and Swajeski whizzed it away for the Cooney and son nobody knew existed or cared about. Instead of enjoying the ramifications play out over a year, now that the actor has decided to cut bait, Damon is going to just blow his wad in an episode and skedaddle to, of all things, pursue his legal education and all that potential is wasted. All the time we invested trying to care about Damon and learning to accept Luner in the role wasted. And now possibly McTavish is returning to probably kill, poison or blow up everyone anyway. Here's a novel idea: replace Brian Fons THEN hire a new writer.
I'm a little late to watch Monday's episode, but I have to say that Liza and Damon are now the couple I am most interested in watching - by a long shot. Is there any chance that the actor who plays Damon isn't leaving?
Damon & Liza, aaaaaaaaghh choke choke.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think she woulda learned her lesson from Marion.
