Not a big fan of the second major plot twist in the Jesse & Angie stuff. It seems way too contrived even for this show. Plus, some of it reeks of the Bailey/Liza stuff from a couple of years ago. What's with teenaged girls being introduced to Pine Valley via their unwanted children?
I'm interested to see how far JR will push his agenda in Scott & Madison's budding relationship. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the other shoe hasn't dropped on Scott's original motives, right?
@Nathan: This spoiler has been out since last week, and I am so glad you posted that it is too contrived. I am sure that Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams, et all will all bring it in their scenes, but I told people that this is the storyline that may make me stop watching.
I have watched the show since its inception and I can't believe I would stop, but this is the kind of stuff that makes me consider it.
As for Scott's original motives, no, that shoe has not dropped and I am sure that will happen quite soon, especially now that Ryan knows it is his kid. Must say I am loving the Emma hates Greenlee storyline - that rocks...
I agree with both of you. Are these writers so void of original thoughts that they have to rehash this story line less than two years since? If there had to be a problem with the baby, why not something to develop after she is six months or a year old? How about side effects from Angie's drugs - she stopped taking them too late. I hate this and see no valid reason for going in this direction.
What a terrible storyline! Like it isn't bad enough Angie is blind! Not only is the plot contrived, the whole labor scene with Jessie cradling his dead infant was downright horrific!
If the powers that be were going to have the baby die, the least they could have done was not show the baby. So wrong in all kinds of ways...and I've been watching since the 70s. Maybe AMC is finally "jumping the shark."

I've been watching AMC for almost 20 years and off and on before that. Greg and Jenny was the first storyline I remember. I'm so disgusted at how bad this show has become. I found that recording it was the way to go since I can fast forward through all the BS and horrible storylines. As for Angie and Jessie, I love them, but this is the worst story to ever be told. Yes, it is very contrived. I agree with Smooshiest, this may be what causes me to quit watching a show I used to adore. AMC needs new writers...STAT!!!!!
