Amanda Seyfried Talks AMC with Letterman!

I thought this was hilarious (aside from them wondering if AMC was even still on the air, come on!).  Amanda's (ex-Joni) so adorable and is definitely more at ease with the interview process.  I remember seeing her on The View when Mamma Mia just came out and the poor thing was so nervous she had hives! 

A Bevvy of Birthday Beauties

It's a big day for AMC birthdays!   Starting with one of the biggest new stars to come out of AMC, Amanda Seyfried (ex-Joni)!!   She celebrates her 25th birthday today.  She stars in the 2011 movie, Little Red Riding Hood, with Gary Oldman (one of my faves!).

Also today, Lauren Roman (ex-Laura) celebrates her 35th birthday today!!  Lauren has most recently been doing background and session singing.







And last but not least, Melody Anderson (ex-Natalie) celebrates her 55th birthday today!!  Melody's Natalie was most remembered because she got her sight back after wishing on the famous Dillon Christmas angel!

If you pick up the April 2010 issue of Esquire magazine you'll be in for a gorgeous treat. AMC's former Joni, the teen with her eyes on Jamie Martin, is definitely all grown up. With some blockbuster films now to her credit (Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, Jennifer's Body, Dear John and the soon to be released Chloe and Letters to Juliet) as well as HBO's hit drama Big Love, Amanda Seyfried's a bonafide star but we can say "we knew her when." In the interview, Amanda talks about her role as a call girl opposite Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson in Chloe, why she's leaving Big Love and a lot more. AMC Alums in Movies!!!

Yesterday I went to see New Moon and before the movie it was like old home week from AMC! Every trailer they showed had a former AMCer in a prominent role. Starting with, When in Rome. Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo) stars in this movie and although she's not in the trailer, Alexa Havins (ex-Babe) also appears in the movie. It will be released January 29, 2010.




Next up is Letters to Juliet, starring Amanda Seyfried (ex-Joni). She has come a long way from shy Joni Stafford! This movie looks really sweet. It's being released May 7, 2010.




And to finish up our tour of former AMCers on the big screen, Alexandra Daddario (ex-Laurie Lewis) stars in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, being released February 12, 2010. On AMC, Laurie and Joni were best friends, vying for the affections of JR and Jamie. But look at her now!!!
