The View Tributes AMC!!

TV Guide reports The View will devote their full hour to paying tribute to AMC on September 23 the last day of AMC on ABC.  The promises interviews, footage of the final day of production and special guests including Agnes Nixon, Susan Lucci (Erica), Vincent Irizarry (David), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan) among other stars from the past and present!   Tune in September 23 at 11:00 am EST on ABC.

CASTING NEWS: Agnes Nixon On Screen!

Agnes Nixon will be appearing on screen as hospital board member Agnes Eckhart.  Her character first appeared in 2005 and this time she begins airing on August 31 when she is admitted to Pine Valley Hospital where Cara and David treat her.  While in the hospital she will have a big effect on all of the lives she interacts with, including Erica Kane.

The Heartbreak of Agnes Nixon

More than anyone else, my heart breaks for Agnes Nixon.  In one fell swoop her two babies were dismissed.  In this new interview with the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER Agnes talks about the cancellation and comments that she thinks the whole country as ADD.  Agnes, I couldn't agree more!

Agnes Nixon Releases Statement

Entertainment Weekly has posted Agnes's statement.  And this is why we love her so!  “ABC’s decision to cancel All My Children and One Life to Live saddens me greatly. I treasure the decades that the worlds of Pine Valley and Llanview were brought to life by our talented casts and crews. I appreciate that the network allowed our teams to break new dramatic ground and always supported our commitment to the honest portrayal of social issues. We hope we have entertained our viewers and perhaps even educated them along the way. My deep gratitude goes to all the talented people who have contributed to All My Children and One Life To Live over these many years; we were always family, made up of writers, producers, directors, actors, crews. Equally important in that family are our loyal fans who shared this journey with us. Although ABC has concluded there is no longer a place for our shows on their network, I will do everything possible to keep them alive. God bless you all.”  And thank you Agnes! 

Celebrate AMC with the NY Times!

The NY Times is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of AMC on Sunday, January 10 with a Q&A session featuring legendary AMC creator Agnes Nixon, Susan Lucci (Erica), Debbi Morgan (Angie), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee), Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and AMC EP Julie Hanan Carruthers. This is a definite must event for diehard AMC fans who won't want to miss a reading of one of AMC's original scripts with Agnes Nixon reading the part of Mona Kane. The event will be held at The Times Center, 242 West 41st Street New York City. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by clicking here.
