CASTING NEWS: John O'Hurley to Guest Star!!

John O'Hurley will be a guest star on AMC in September as Kit Sterling, a movie producer who wants to make Erica Kane: Uncensored, Erica's newest book, into a movie.  You may remember O'Hurley as J. Peterman on Seinfeld but he has a pretty big AMC connection.  He was once married to Eva LaRue (Maria)

CASTING NEWS: Justin and Alexa Return!!

This is turning into a real party!   Justin Bruening (Jamie) and Alexa Havins (ex-Babe) will be returning to AMC in September for a few shows before the show signs off on ABC.  Jamie's return is easy enough, he's been in Africa working with Doctors Without Borders.  Babe, that's a little trickier.  Babe died several years ago when a tornado hit Pine Valley (then played by Amanda Baker).  Another ghost?  Another "victim" of the Orpheus Project?  Just how many people has Dr. David Haywardstein risen from the dead??  Alexa currently stars in the Starz incarnation of Torchwood and Justin stars in the Wonder Woman pilot that is looking for a home.  The couple has been married since 2005 and have one child, a daughter Lexington.

No Return for Mark and Kelly

Sorry Hayley and Mateo fans, but Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will not be making a return trip to Pine Valley before AMC signs off of ABC on September 23.  Eva LaRue (Maria, who returns on Tuesday, July 19) reports that they wanted to come back, but Kelly could not work it around her schedule.

CASTING NEWS: Trai Byers Joines AMC!!

This week, Trai Byers debuts as Mookie, Maya's abusive boyfriend and most likely, baby Lucy's biological father.  The Yale School of Drama graduate is a newcomer to soaps.

CASTING NEWS: Verla Grubbs Returns!!

Carol Burnett is bringing Verla Grubbs back to Pine Valley!!  As (the late great) Langley Wallingford's daughter, Verla has visited Pine Valley a few times through the years.  She returns in September for a few shows. Carol is probably the most famous AMC fan there is and she's always been very local about her love for the folks of Pine Valley.   Can't wait to see her again!

CASTING NEWS: Leven Rambin Will Return!!

Recently Leven Rambin hinted on Twitter that she might have some good news for Lily fans and now it's been confirmed!   She will be returning before AMC ends in September according to SOD online.  No details are available on the return just yet.

CASTING NEWS: Fasten Your Seatbelts!!!

The nutjob parade is coming to Pine Valley!   TV GUIDE reports that beginning the week of July 25, Melissa Claire Egan (Annie), Kate Collins (Janet) and Jennifer Bassey (Marian) will be making their return to All My Children.  The storyline has the three women who are being held at Oak Haven (along with Dixie who is being hidden) plotting to break out and head back to the people they love.  Sound amazing to me and that makes two more of on my wish list of returns coming back!   Woo hoo!!

CASTING NEWS: Eva LaRue Slated For Return!!

Yahoo news is reporting that Eva LaRue will be making a return to AMC before the show goes off the air in September.  Slated for a few shows in July, Maria will return to Pine Valley from California, where she has lived since her exit from AMC in 2005.   She took part in last years 40th Anniversary special as well.  Eva currently stars on CSI: Miami on CBS.  Personally I am thrilled with these returns.  I just wish both Eva's and Josh's were more than a few days.  But I'll take what I can get.  My current wish list is... David Canary (Adam/Stuart), Julia Barr (Brooke), Jennifer Bassey (Marian), Keith Hamilton Cobb (Noah), Sydney Penny (Julia), Ray MacDonnell (Joe),  Lee Meriweather (Ruth - Mary Fickett of course, would be ideal but I love Lee in the role and Mary is unable to return), Kate Collins (Janet) and just because I love him so Mathew St. Patrick (Adrian).

CASTING NEWS: Holy Moly They Listened!!!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Josh Duhamel will be reprising his role of Leo duPres before AMC ends it's run in September!!  I'm just beside myself with this news.   Josh hinted to Ellen Degeneres about it several weeks ago and has since played coy that AMC fans will just have to wait and see.  I know one thing, I hope whether Leo is a ghost or the real deal, that he's wearing those leather pants!

CASTING NEWS: Eddie Matos is Outta Here!!

Yep, you read that right.  Things come to a head this week between Ricky and Kendall and it leads to his departure.  Eddie Matos will continue to air as Ricky until June 2.

CASTING NEWS: Taylor Groothuis Joins AMC!

Taylor Groothuis comes to Pine Valley in the form of MaKenzie in mid-April.  Who is MaKenzie?  Some hints are that Taylor is 8 years old, so perhaps a friend of Kathy's or Miranda's or AJ's?  When I find out, you'll find out!

CASTING NEWS: Mariah Buzolin Comes to AMC!!

Mariah Buzolin arrives in Pine Valley on Tuesday, March 15 as Maya, the new maid at Chandler Mansion.  The pretty young thing will share scenes with Colby.   The Brazilian native has previously been seen in the TV series Lie to Me, Zoey 101 and in the movie Hotel for Dogs, among others!

CASTING NEWS: Griffin and Cara's Mother Comes to Town!

Look for the debut of Elena Campbell-Martinez very soon.  She plays the role of Leticia, Griffin and Cara's very overprotective mother.  Elena has a long list of credits including most recently guest spots on Criminal Minds and Brothers & Sisters.

CASTING NEWS: Ella Thomas Joins AMC!!

As more and more information comes to light about Zach's death, it is revealed that Rev. Ricky may just have had something to do with it!  This week we find out that he's been working with the mysterious Diane, played by Ella Thomas, and they are definitely up to no good where Zach's death is concerned!

Melissa Claire Egan Final Airdate!!

As previously reported, Melissa Claire Egan is leaving the role of Annie Novak McDermott Lavery Chandler Chandler after four years.  Her final airdate has been announced as March 21.  It's pretty clear that Annie is going off the rails and will most like be occupying the room with a view next door to Janet from Another Planet.  Personally I haven't ever liked Annie all that much, but I'm totally down with seeing some Oak Haven hijinks between Tire Iron Annie and Crowbar Janet.   I hope we get some!

CASTING NEWS: Melissa Claire Egan Opts Out!

With a front burner storyline going full on, it seems an odd time for Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) to leave the show.  But leaving she is.   Posted today on her Facebook page, Melissa had this to say:

My dear fans,

After 4 and a half incredible years as a member of the All My Children cast, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave the Pine Valley family that I have come to love and respect so much.

It has been an amazing 4 and a half years for me! I have had the privilege and honor of working with the most talented and fun cast, crew, producers and directors imaginable. I have learned so much from them and am forever indebted. To wake up each morning and love going to work is a true blessing for which I am unbelievably grateful!

But after much soul-searching, I feel that it is time to spread my wings and open myself up to new challenges and adventures.

And you, my beloved fans……Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your support and encouragement over these past four plus years. You have inspired me to give my all to the “complicated” character of Annie Novak McDermott Lavery Chandler Chandler (hehehe, it's always fun to say that ;-)), and I hope to have lived up to your expectations. You will always hold a special place in my heart, and I hope you will wish me well in my future endeavors!

With much love and gratitude,

Melissa

No word yet on how and when Annie will be leaving Pine Valley but it's a good bet with how crazy she's been, that she ends up in a room at Oak Haven next to Janet from Another Planet!

CASTING NEWS: Real Andrews Joins AMC!!!

Real Andrews has been cast in the role of Agent Trumble on AMC!!  Scheduled to appear in seven episodes beginning February 18, I can't be the only one who hopes that turns into something more permanent!

Effective Immediately Debbi Morgan on Leave!!

SOD is reporting that Debbi Morgan (Angie) is taking a leave of absence from AMC for personal reasons.  It's unclear how long she will be gone or when she will be back.  Hopefully all is well in her world and we'll see her back soon!

CASTING NEWS: Finn Wittrock Leaving AMC!!

So which is it?  SOD is reporting that Finn Wittrock (Damon) has decided not to renew his contract and  ABC Soaps in Depth is reporting that he has been let go.  Either way, I can't say this comes as too big a surprise as his airtime kept dwindling and Colby is getting more and more interested in Asher.   I guess that means I'll never get my Tad/Hillary reunion!  And darnit!  He's leaving just when he got the haircut I've been waiting for!   Finn should continue airing into January.
