Colin Egglesfield out at Melrose Place!

Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh) has been let go from the CW's new incarnation of Melrose Place. He will last air in January. Personally I watched it, just for Colin, and will most like not continue after he's gone since it really hasn't grabbed me or given me any reason to stay. I do enjoy seeing old character come back from when I was a die hard Melrose fan. But damn, Jo (Daphne Zuniga) sure got bitchy! Ashley Simpson has also been let go, which can really only improve the show.

Behind the Scenes at Melose with Colin!!

He may have survived an attempt at being aborted by his mother and had a mad scientist for an adopted father, but Colin Egglesfield made the role of Josh Madden someone I could root for. Despite being in a story that had zero plausibility, I found myself drawn to the character. OK, it helps that Colin is to die for gorgeous. But equally, he played the role of the walking talking fetus, as I liked to call him, with aplomb, never ever even hinting at how stupid even he must have thought it was to survive an abortion and be transplanted into another woman. He played it with grace, with palpable anguish and with an underlying anger that would eventually be his undoing.

But it didn't take long for
Colin to rebound after leaving AMC! As previously reported, he landed a role on one of the most anticipated shows this fall, the new Melrose Place!

Colin
plays the role of surfer dude/sous chef Auggie Kirkpatrick. Go with Colin behind the scenes of the making of Melrose Place! And let me just point out, Colin is as hot and funny as ever!!

The show premieres on Sept. 8 on the CW network at 9:00 pm EST.

New Role for Egglesfield!!!!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh) has landed a lead role in the pilot for the CW's new version of Melrose Place! He plays Auggie, a surfer dude who works as a sous chef by day with dreams of being in business for himself someday. They made the right choice. One of the things I remember about the old Melrose Place is that everyone was beautiful. Colin sure fits the bill!

Say Hello, Then Good Bye to Josh!

As hinted earlier, Colin Egglesfield will be returning to AMC in the near future, but only for a short time. Dropped to recurring status after Zach learned Josh was embezzeling money from Cambias back in October, Josh went off on the run. So what bring Josh back to Pine Valley to face the possible wrath of his brother in law? Well it could be to see his gravely ill sister. But Josh won't be around long. Colin has been released from AMC and will exit after a handful of shows in dramatic fashion. With all the talk about Kendall's failing heart, speculation is running rampant that Josh will meet with his untimely demise and save Kendall's life.

Josh Returning!?

It's looking better and better that a return is coming from Erica's unaborted son, Josh (Colin Egglesfield). Although it's not clear if this will just be a visit or a longer term return to Pine Valley, we should be seeing Josh sometime December. Maybe he sneaks into Pine Valley to see his gravely ill sister Kendall?

Colin Egglesfield dropped to recurring!!

It is inevitable that when a new head writer takes over, cast changes get made. The unfortunate first casualty is myJoshy, Colin Egglesfield, who goes from contract to recurring status. Joining the show in September 2005, Colin took over the role from original Josh Madden, Scott Kinworthy. Colin was then thrust front and center in one of AMC's most controversial storylines ever, the undoing of Erica Kane's groundbreaking abortion back in 1973. Messing with not just show history, but television history is never a good idea, but Colin played the role with gusto and became an integral part of the Kane family. But as time went on, it was clear that the character of Josh was being backburnered. He moved on from his obsession with Babe, his affair with Hannah was abruptly ended when Hannah met her demise. And his one night stand with Greenlee was a blink and you missed it moment. With so many missed opportunities for this talented and handsome actor, it comes as no surprise that Colin is on his way out. Technically, yes, he'll only be bumped to recurring at the end of his contract this fall, but recurring is only a hop, skip and a jump away from the Martin attic.

Chrishell has a new man!!!

After a bad break up with her fiance back in mid 2007, Chrishell Stause (Amanda) was probably understandably gun-shy about dating. But it helps when a mutual friend like Colin Egglesfield (Josh) can vouch for the new guy, and that's what has happened! Chrishell is dating former professional basketball player, Graham Bunn. He played basketball for Appalachian State and then moved to Germany and played professionally there. You may know Graham as one of the contestants vying for a romance with this year's Bachelorette. Chrishell met him before he went on the show but the timing was off for both of them. After he was booted, they reconnected and have been steady ever since! Graham now runs a clothing line, 46, where the proceeds go to help children's charities. Sounds like a keeper!
