Congratulations Natalie Hall!!!

Congratulations to Natalie Hall (Colby) and Brandon Barash (GH)!!   The couple recently got engaged!   Natalie can be seen this holiday season in the Hallmark Channel original movie, Love's Christmas Journey (which has already aired but check Hallmark listings for possibly more airings).

Natalie Hall Cast in Miniseries!!!

Natalie Hall (Colby) has been cast in the Hallmark Channel original miniseries, Love's Christmas Journey, based on the books by Janette Oke.  The two hour, two part miniseries will air in November.  Hall plays Ellie King, a pioneer woman who has lost her husband and her daughter and goes to visit her brother, the sheriff of a small town (played by GH's Greg Vaughan) during the Christmas holiday.  While there she ends up helping a young man who was wrongly accused of catching the mayor's barn on fire, meets new friends and ultimately may find love again.

Happy Birthday wishes to Ambyr Childers!!!  She won me over as Adam's feisty teenage daughter Colby, only to end up replaced, and then replaced again!  Ambyr is married to producer Russell Emmett and they have a one year old daughter named Londan.    She stars in the movie Playback with Christian Slater and has been working steadily in film.  She celebrates her 23rd birthday today.

Natalie Hall Joins Pretty Little Liars!!

Life goes on... Natalie Hall (Colby) has started taping her new role, Kate, Hanna's sister, on the ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars.  The role was previously held by Natalie Floyd.   No first airdate has yet been announced.  She will also continue to play Colby.

Natalie Hall Performs A Caberet!!

Natalie Hall (Colby) will be performing at the May Day Cabaret on Sunday, May 1 at 7:00 pm at Space16 in Hollywood, CA.  Also performing that night are Broadway performers Ellen Greene, Kevin Chamberlin, Tony Tartaglia, Micah McCain, and Mark Shunock.  The show, a benefit for the Celebration Theatre (community of artists dedicated to presenting innovative, provocative and relevant work that examines the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender experience) has a limited number of tickets ranging in price from $35 - $125.  For more information and tickets, visit the Celebration Theatre WEBSITE.

Performer of the Week - Colby

This week was Colby's week to shine!  She started out strong, standing up to big brother JR for his lack of family leadership.  She told him off but good and personally I think he needed to hear it.  Colby was kidnapped and held hostage by JR's maniacal girlfriend that he thought he could talk down from her mania.  Colby called him out on his ego, his belief that he could get Annie under control, how the family business is going down the tubes under his leadership and the how the family is falling apart.  She said it best when she said, "You are in so far over your head, it's actually pathetic, because you think that you can be Dad, but you will never ever be Dad."  Go Colby!  It's about time someone put JR in his place.

But that was just the beginning for Colby this week.  After receiving a call from Damon, Colby went to talk to her mother only to be discouraged from the possible reconciliation that Damon was proposing.   Liza brought up her own volatile relationship with her mother, Marian, saying that there are some things that can never be forgiven.  Confused, Colby wanted to know what her relationship with Marian had to do with what was going on with Colby and Damon.  Liza backpedaled but Colby kept pushing and eventually Liza mentioned Tad and their past, confusing Colby even more.  

Determined to find out what Liza was comparing her and Damon to, she went to seek out some answers and luckily she ran into loose lips Opal.  With only a few pointed questions, Opal revealed to Colby that Marian had slept with Tad while Liza was dating him.  Did history repeat itself?  It couldn't be.  Colby didn't want to believe it.  But she had to know so she went to confront her mother.

It was the confrontation that many have been waiting for, myself included.  How would Liza explain herself?  She can't, there is no justification.  There is no excuse good enough to explain how a mother slept with her daughters boyfriend.  The performances of both Natalie Hall and Jamie Lunar were stellar.   From Colby's disbelief that her own mother could hurt and betray her so completely and profoundly, to Liza's horror all over again at what she had done.  I felt for Colby, who was so hurt she wants Liza out of her life, declaring, "You're not my mom anymore."  And then I even felt for Liza who, with nowhere to turn, turned to Tad for comfort and understanding.  He tried to assure Liza that Colby would forgive her just as she had forgiven Marian, but Liza didn't think it would ever happen.  

Colby's devastation is extensive.   Will she ever be able to look at her mother as a mother again?  Will Liza be able to make this up to her daughter?  It will take a lot of work on Liza's part. With Natalie and Jamie portraying this duo, I can only imagine how great it will be to watch it unfold.

Happy birthday wishes to Natalie Hall!!!   Natalie celebrates her 23rd birthday today!   But it's not all cake and  ice cream for poor Colby... oh wait until she finds out what her former beau did with her mother!   Ouch!

Line of the Day - April 6!!!

Colby gets the zinger of the day, directed of course, at Annie. Colby returns home and fills in JR and Annie on the accident and Brooke's condition. Annie is ticked, of course, that Adam blew her off to sit vigil with Brooke and decides to head to the hospital. Colby LOTD has her saying to Annie, "Annie nobody wants you at the hospital, why don't you do something productive like pluck your eyebrows."

Ambyr Childers (ex-Colby) and her husband, producer Randall Emmett welcomed their first child, a daughter named London Thea Emmett early this morning or last night! Congratulations!!!!!

CASTING NEWS - Colby Recast!!!

Say huh??? Not one week after the news hit that AMC had let go of Brianne Moncrief as Colby, comes word that soap newbie Natalie Hall has been hired to replace her! She is set to start taping this month, before the move out west and then will presumably head to LA with the show.. Color me confused!!!
