The Stars Are Out For the Start of Emmy Weekend!

Some AMC stars and nominees were out last night at the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards nominees cocktail reception held at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.  Check out Denise Vasi (Randi), Chrishell Stause (Amanda), Trent Garrett (Asher), Brittany Allen (ex-Marissa - nominee), Melissa Claire Egan (Annie - nominee) and Stephanie Gatschet (Madison).  The Daytime Emmys will be held this Sunday, June 19 in Las Vegas and televised on CBS beginning at 8:00 pm EST.  

RECASTING NEWS: Trent Garrett NOT Leaving

I guess we were all duped!   The Trent Garrett (Asher) poster on Twitter was an imposter.  Nothing like feeding off the misery of the masses.  Sorry guys, I'm one of many bloggers who fell for it.  Trent Garrett has not been let go.  He reached out to our AMC Fan Club president, Debbie Morris and let her know that he does not have a Twitter account and that he is staying with the show until September.

The Daily Press, Hampton Roads, VA newspaper has an interview with AMC's newest cast member, Trent Garrett (Asher).  The model/turned actor debuts on AMC Friday, August 13 and will interact with Colby and Damon.  The question is, will he come between the young lovers?  I'd say that's a good bet!

CASTING NEWS: AMC Gets a New Hottie!!

AMC has cast Trent Garrett in the contract role of Asher Pike. He will be involved in the Damon/Colby story. Call me crazy, but with a name like Asher Pike, he sounds like a bit of a blue blood. This has Adam Chandler written all over it! Bring in a rich hottie to distract Colby from the troubled boy. He begins airing on August 13. He's previously been seen on 90210 and appears in the movie Slightly Single in LA with former AMCers Jonathan Bennett (ex-JR) and Lacey Chabert (ex-Bianca).
