Brittany Allen Wins Outstanding Younger Actress!

In kind of a surprising upset, Brittany Allen (ex-Marissa) has taken home the gold.  Winning for Outstanding Younger Actress, Brittany beat out Lexi Ainsworth of GH and Emily O'Brien of Y&R.  Congratulations Brittany!!

The Stars Are Out For the Start of Emmy Weekend!

Some AMC stars and nominees were out last night at the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards nominees cocktail reception held at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.  Check out Denise Vasi (Randi), Chrishell Stause (Amanda), Trent Garrett (Asher), Brittany Allen (ex-Marissa - nominee), Melissa Claire Egan (Annie - nominee) and Stephanie Gatschet (Madison).  The Daytime Emmys will be held this Sunday, June 19 in Las Vegas and televised on CBS beginning at 8:00 pm EST.

CASTING NEWS: NuMarissa Found!!

And dammit, it's not Alexa Havins!  Sarah Glendening (ex-Lucy, ATWT) has been cast as NuMarissa.  She begins airing in the contract role on December 20.   Brittany Allen's last day as Marissa will be December 17.

Brittany Allen Not Set to Leave Just Yet

In an interesting turn of events, AMC has asked Brittany Allen (Marissa) to stay on for a little longer because they are having a hard time finding her replacement. So as of right now, there is no definitive final airdate for Brittany as Marissa. Finding a new Scott seemed easy, they just went to their arsenal of previous Scott's. So why not use that same tactic with Marissa? Yes, Brittany is the first Marissa, but she has a twin sister, a twin named Babe. How about tapping new mom Alexa Havins to come back to the show, this time as Marissa? I can see it! Can you?

Fun with AMC Stars at Fan Club Weekend!

Stephanie Gatschet (Madison) posted a video of her, Brittany Allen (Marissa) and Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca) singing karaoke last night at one of the Fan Club Weekend events!  Check out this gals singing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody!

CASTING NEWS: Allen and Mayfield are out!

Just released today, Brittany Allen (Marissa) and Adam Mayfield (Scott) have been let go from AMC.  Official word is that the show wants to take the characters in a new direction.  Does that mean recast?  Who knows!  Both Allen and Mayfield joined AMC in April of '09 and both will continue to air into October.  Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

 

Another Event for Fan Club Weekend!

Stephanie Gatschet (Madison), Christina Lind (Bianca) and Brittany Allen (Marissa) will be hosting Karaoke Night on Friday, September 24 from 7:30 - 10:30 pm.  Ticket price is $65 and includes 2 drinks and snacks.  Expect some extra AMC stars to attend!  Click here for tickets.

Marissa Needs Maury!!!

OK, the promo is fake, but pretty hilarious!!!  Long time PVB Board Poster, Cheap21 made the promo and I just had to share.  Marissa's self makeover lasted about as long as probably the real ones that happen on Maury!  And while we're talking about Marissa's makeover, how strange was it that AJ saw her and was suddenly scared!   If a sexy dress and a little makeup are enough to scare this young man, then having Annie around all the time must be down terrifying!

CASTING NEWS - Brittany Allen Joins AMC!

Not much is known yet about AMC newcomer Brittany Allen other than her name is Marissa and she meets Krystal in a massage parlor on April 21. Then the two end up arrested! Word has it there is a lot that will happen with Marissa come May. Brittany has previously been seen on M.V.P. as well as various movies.
