CASTING NEWS: Shannon Kane Departs AMC!

It probably comes as no big surprise (especially considering she did not make it to the new opening credits), but Shannon Kane will be leaving her role of Natalia.  Opting not to extend her contract, Shannon's last airdate is February 4, but it's not final.  She will be returning from time to time.  She joined the cast in October of 2008 and it's taken until recently for her to find love with Brot Monroe.  Poor Brot, finally gets a love and off she goes!   Shannon's blossoming movie career is likely a big reason for her exit.  Up next for the busy actress is the film S.W.A.T:  Fire Fight to be released this year.

Final Airdate for Mayfield

With the role of Scott Chandler being taken over by Daniel Cosgrove in December, Adam Mayfield will make his final appearance as Scott next week.  The aftermath of catching Annie in bed with JR proves to be too much for Scott and he goes to Caleb with a confession.  A confession that lands him right in jail!   Adam's last airdate is October 15.

More Details Surface on Canary Exit!!

As previously reported, David Canary (Adam) will be making his AMC exit this spring. Now more details are coming to light as TV Guide interviews Executive Producer Julie Hanan Carruthers on the subject. With the loss of James Mitchell (Palmer), Adam's greatest rival in Pine Valley, as a catalyst to Adam's departure from Pine Valley, Carruthers had this to say: “Everyone in Pine Valley will be greatly affected by the loss of Palmer, especially Adam. It will force him to face his own mortality, something that’s very rare for such a Type A personality.” For more, check out Michael Logan's interview with Ms. Carruthers.
