Julia Barr on Cancellation!!
Soap Opera Digest spoke with Julia Barr (ex-Brooke) and she had this to say about the cancellation of AMC and OLTL: "I have such wonderful memories of being a part of All My Children. And I feel so fortunate to have been able to share so many years of my professional life in the company of such wonderful people. It is sad for longtime viewers and loyal fans who have loved and supported the show... And sad for all of us... actors, staff and crew, who will be saying good-bye."

I Guess I Have To Say Something
It's always been my policy to not comment or perpetrate rumors. But with all the emails and questions I'm getting about the rampant rumor that AMC is getting canceled, I guess I have to say something. Is it true? I don't know. Fact is, no one seems to know. I have seen many articles online today about this rumor and not one of them had any basis in fact, credited a source, or gave any kind of specifics. Does that mean it's not true? Not necessarily because we all know where there is smoke there is usually fire. But AMC or one of the ABC soaps being canceled isn't exactly a new rumor. This has been going on for years. So new information this is not. Most of the articles I read state that AMC could be replaced with a talk show as soon as this fall. So, if a cancellation is going to happen, it would seem that it is going to happen soon. Until then, I chose to relax and wait for it to play out. Panic, petitions, threats and anger accomplishes nothing. I'm taking the wait and see approach, but if you're so inclined to write someone, it's never a bad idea to drop a line to official outlets (SOD, SID, SOW, ABC) and let them know just how much the show means to you.

Happy Birthday AMC!!!
Happy 41st birthday to All My Children!!! It started as a half hour show with a sassy high school girl named Erica Kane. 41 years later, Erica Kane is still front and center and that fact was driven home on Monday's exceptional Emmy worthy show! Susan Lucci still shines as Erica and continues to remind me why she is the Diva of all Divas! Happy Birthday AMC!!!
