With all the hubbub of the cancellation rumor, I forgot to post Christina's birthday!   Sorry Christina!!!   Happy Birthday wishes to Christina Bennett Lind!!!  AMC's Bianca celebrated her 24th birthday on March 22!!

Help Stephanie Gatschet Fight Lung Cancer!

Stephanie Gatschet (Madison) has a cause that is near and dear to her heart, and incidentally to mine too.  When her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer 5 years ago, she began supporting the National Lung Cancer Partnership in an effort to educate people about the disease and raise money.  Says Stephanie: "The stigma of lung cancer being a smoker's disease really stands in the way of getting the proper funding and awareness," she points out. "And it's so unfortunate, not only because it doesn't really matter if a person smoked or not -- no one deserves to get cancer -- but more than half of the people diagnosed with lung cancer now are non-smokers! Everyone should know about that, and the more we can remove the lung cancer conversation from the smoking relation, the more progress we'll make in curing it."  And this is so true.  One of my very dear friends was diagnosed with lung cancer back in July and she never smoked a day in her life.  I can't thank Stephanie enough for her part in raising awareness of this disease and on March 20 she is organizing a fundraiser, the Free To Breathe fundraising yogathon at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge, CA, which is actually where many of AMC's location shots are filmed.  Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca), Denise Vasi (Randi) and Jordi Vilasuso (Griffin) will all be taking part in the fundraiser with Stephanie and you can too!  Sign up or donate at FreeToBreathe.org.

Stephanie Gatschet (Madison) posted a video of her, Brittany Allen (Marissa) and Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca) singing karaoke last night at one of the Fan Club Weekend events!  Check out this gals singing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody!

AMC and GH Team Up For Benefit

Bobbie Eakes (Krystal), Natalie Hall (Colby) and Jamie Luner (Liza, taking the place of Chrishell Stause who had a scheduling conflict) will be performing along with General Hospitals Bradford Anderson and Brandon Barash in the ABC Daytime and L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center benefit performances of Kander & Ebb's musical revue, The World Goes Round.  The shows will be held at the Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday October 7 hosted by Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and Chrishell Stause (Amanda), Saturday October 9 hosted by Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca) and Sunday October 10 hosted by Walt Willey (Jack).  Net proceeds of the event will benefit the Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic.  Ticket prices start at $50 and go up to $200 for VIP tickets.  For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.

Another Event for Fan Club Weekend!

I just caught this video online and thought it was so cute, I had to share! Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) was by far my fave. He's so funny and so natural and ahh I just love him!!! NuBianca Premieres This Week!!

As previously reported, AMC has recast the role of Bianca and this week, NuBianca hits the air! Previously reported as June 14, the arrival is now slated for June 15 after a pre-emption a few weeks ago pushed shows back a day. Christina Bennett Lind takes over the role vacated by Eden Riegel (now playing Heather on Y&R). Bianca returns to Pine Valley to find out what has happened to her missing mother. CASTING NEWS: AMC Hires a New Bianca!!!

Well that didn't take long! AMC has cast Christina Bennett Lind as NuBianca. The soap newbie is a New York based theatre actress who has had a few walk on's at ATWT, but this is her first full time soap gig and her first time on AMC, after having auditioned three other times! She begins airing on June 14 when Bianca returns to Pine Valley frantic about her mother's disappearance (which is tied into the casting of Michael Nouri). Of landing the role, Christina told TV Guide, "I can only hope I do half of what Eden did with the part. She played it with amazing grace and dignity. Now I need to breathe my own life into it."

When Bianca returns, for now, it will be without Reese or the children, but AMC plans to keep the Bianca and Reese relationship going and have kept communications with Tamara Braun open.
