The View Tributes AMC!!

TV Guide reports The View will devote their full hour to paying tribute to AMC on September 23 the last day of AMC on ABC.  The promises interviews, footage of the final day of production and special guests including Agnes Nixon, Susan Lucci (Erica), Vincent Irizarry (David), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan) among other stars from the past and present!   Tune in September 23 at 11:00 am EST on ABC.

Leo Returns August 4!!!

As previously reported, Josh Duhamel returns to AMC as Leo on August 4.  Us Weekly had a few pics of his return to share and oh it just makes me so anxious for next week!!!!

Castle Sneak Peak!

As previously reported, Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan) are among a group of soap stars appearing on the ABC hit series, Castle on March 21 at 10:00 pm.  Here's a sneak peak at the action!

Cameron and Rebecca Appear on Castle!!

ABC will be airing a soap themed episode of the hit drama Castle tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 21 and appearing in that episode will be none other than Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan)!!  In the episode, which pays homage to star Nathan Fillion's soap roots by being called One Life to Lose, Rebecca will play soap starlet Mandy Bronson and Cameron plays Vince Bowers.  The story centers around the murder of the headwriter of the soap opera Temptation Lane after a fan blogs about her dissatisfaction with storylines (hmm, does that seem remotely far fetched to anyone??)!  Corbin Bernsen also stars as the soaps biggest star, Lance Buchanan (another nod to Fillion who played Joey Buchanan on OLTL).  Castle airs Monday nights on ABC at 10:00 pm EST.

Wedding Bells Are Ringing for Rebecca Budig!

Christmas time was engagement time for Rebecca Budig (Greenlee).  E! Online reports that she and boyfriend Michael Benson, a TV Marketing exec,  are going to be tying the knot!  She divorced Bob Guiney last year after 5 years of marriage.  No wedding date has yet been announced but the E! source described the ring as platinum, yellow gold, ruby and diamonds, circa 1935... sounds stunning!   Congratuations!!!

Rebecca Wins Skating with the Stars!!!!

After the shocking elimination of Jonny Mosley last week, it was truly anyone's game and nothing was certain.  But our girl prevailed and took home the trophy!   Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) won the first season (maybe the only season) of Skating with the Stars!  Her two biggest competitors throughout the season were Jonny and Brandon Michael Smith.  Brandon dropped out after a few weeks when he fell ill with a stomach virus.  So it looked like it was going to be a Rebecca/Jonny finale.  But underdog Bethany Frankel's fans saved her and on to the finale she went when Jonny and partner Brooke were eliminated.   From where I'm sitting, it was a no brainer of a outcome but after what happened to Jonny, a win for Rebecca was far from a sure thing even though she was by far the superior skater.  But win she did!!! Congratulations Rebecca and my hometown boy Fred Palascak.

Monday, November 22 is the big debut of ABC's Skating with the Stars and our girl Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) as one of the stars!   Practice is intense.  Here's Rebecca and her partner, Fred Palascak, hard at work!

 

Rebecca Budig to Skate with the Stars!!!

Last night, ABC announced it's new Dancing with the Stars spinoff, Skating with the Stars and Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) has been tapped as one of the stars!  She will be paired with Fred Palascak when the show debuts on Monday, November 22 on ABC.  Other stars set to compete are Bethenny Frankel, Jonny Moseley, Vince Neil, Brandon Mychal Smith and Sean Young.  Check out the Zap2it interview with Rebecca, for her reaction!

Performer of the Week

I know I don't do this as often I used to anymore but it can't be denied that Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) is this weeks PERFORMER OF THE WEEK.  From the shock of David's death, to her incredibly moving talk to him while he lay dead at the Yacht Club, to her attempts to protect Ryan, to her talking to David in the morgue, to the flashbacks of her relationship with him, to his haunting her mind.  Through it all, Rebecca's been heartbreaking as she revealed Greenlee heartbreak to us.  Bravo!

No Wins for AMC, But They Look Great!!!

AMC may not have won any Emmys tonight but Diva Blackwell has a few things to say about our stars knowing how to dress for the occasion! The color of the night was definitely silver and gold and many of our ladies shined. (remember you can click on any picture to enlarge it)







The stunning Bobbie Eakes (Krystal), nominated tonight for Outstanding Lead Actress, wore a beautiful silver gown and you can see just a hint of a red shoe. She looks amazing!










Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) a presenter tonight, also in silver, shined! Her ensemble was a bit more casual, but the up do and the awesome shoes completed a great look.










Chrishell Stause (Amanda) was interviewed backstage about working on a soap. This girl can wear a burlap sack and look gorgeous but this dress is no burlap sack! Is it two shades of gold or both silver and gold? I can't tell in the pics. Her hair is fantastic too!








Not to be outdone and pulling in not just color but a pattern too, Denise Vasi (Randi) is always a stunner.


And check out those kickin shoes!




















No Emmy night would be complete without Susan Lucci (Erica)!! I'm a sucker for a black gown and tonight, Susan's did not disappoint! Love the bodice, love the mermaid bottom. Love her hair! Love her head to toe.










Jamie Luner (Liza) also opted for black (much like Liza lol). The look is simple but elegant.














Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) looked like a Grecian goddess in this pale yellow gown. Her hair, from what I could make out in the pic, looks stunning!











And even though she was on the road with Walt's tux, Stephanie Gatschet (Madison) certainly did not forget to pack her own dress. What a knock out!!! I love the broach on the bodice, I love the color with the black at the bottom.

Rebecca Budig Appears in "Please Give"

Hitting theaters this past weekend, Please Give is the latest movie by writer/director Nicole Holofcener and is receiving rave reviews! The movie centers mainly around Kate, played by Catherine Keener, who runs a resale furniture shop. Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) has a small but memorable role as a character known only as Big Back. Rebecca Budig Files for Divorce

As previously reported, Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and her husband of five years, Bob Guiney, split up back in January. But reports are out today that Rebecca has filed for divorce, sighting irreconcilable differences, and has asked the court to deny Bob any spousal support.

Happy Birthday, Mark Pinter (ex-Roger)

Soap Veteran Mark Pinter (ex-Roger Smythe) celebrates his 60th birthday today. I am a big fan of Pinter's all too short run as Greenlee's absentee father. I wish that he and Anna Stuart had the chance for more airtime together.
