CASTING NEWS: Fasten Your Seatbelts!!!

The nutjob parade is coming to Pine Valley!   TV GUIDE reports that beginning the week of July 25, Melissa Claire Egan (Annie), Kate Collins (Janet) and Jennifer Bassey (Marian) will be making their return to All My Children.  The storyline has the three women who are being held at Oak Haven (along with Dixie who is being hidden) plotting to break out and head back to the people they love.  Sound amazing to me and that makes two more of on my wish list of returns coming back!   Woo hoo!!

Happy Birthday wishes to Jennifer Bassey!!  AMC's Marian Colby celebrates her 68th birthday today.  Hey,  isn't it time to get Marian out of Oak Haven and back to Pine Valley??  I think Liza needs to be reminded again of just how much she hated her own mother after the Tad/Marian/Liza triangle.  Is that what she wants for Colby?

Marian Colby - Performer of the Week!

I'm sure I'm not the first one to say it this time (AMC totally copied my "Annie Nicole Smith" line this week! LOL), but it certainly bears repeating... Jennifer Bassey aka Marian Colby defined Performer of the Week this week. Her anger at losing the love of her life is understandable. Her grief, palpable. Her need for revenge, dangerous. Her utter sense of loss, heartbreaking. And her deep regret, unmistakable. Marian went through every emotion and Jennifer played them all with grace and total abandon. It was the performance of a lifetime in a lifetime full of amazing performances. If this was indeed Jennifer (and Marian's) swansong on AMC, what a way to go!
