Jacob Young Heading Back To B & B!!

Jacob Young (JR) rejoins the cast of Bold and the Beautiful in the role of Rick Forrester, the role he previously held from 1997-1999.  He begins airing on September 26, the Monday after AMC goes off the air on ABC.

As more and more veterans sign with other shows, I'm convinced that AMC reincarnated on the web isn't going to be of interest to me.

But, I really want to see Michael E. Knight somewhere - anywhere. :-)

I kind of thought that Jacob would end up going to Days as Eric Brady. JR is my favorite AMC character and has been since I started watching but I don't know if I have any desire to watch B&B.

His acting has just gotten better and better.

I guess I am going to have to find me another soap to start watching, but after watching MC for more years than some of you have even been alive, it is a difficult decision.

I doubt it will be a soap from ABC. Maybe some of you can suggest shows, and why?

I've been giving Y&R a try, but I'm far from sold on it yet. It does have several old AMC actors, like Jeff Branson and Eden Riegel, and the woman who played Maggie - and best of all, it has Peter Bergman, the old Cliff. IMO, Peter Bergman is the best reason to watch.

But I'm not anywhere near hooked on the show. It has a very different feel from the AMC of old, or from OLTL. I don't know if I'll continue. Other people who have watched longer say to give it time. Maybe.

When AMC goes off the air I am done with daytime ABC and Soaps. Nothing can compare to AMC.

I've been watching Y&R for longer than AMC... but will feel a bigger sense of loss with my Pine Valley family gone. Genoa City is a good place to visit, but it's a little s-l-o-w moving - you don't have to catch it every day.

It's nice to see some of our AMC alums there - it was tricky getting to know them in their new roles!

Tuck - give it a try... You might like it!
