I guess this makes it official??Lucci Sets The Record Straight!By SOD • Posted: Nov 16, 2011 Susan Lucci took to Facebook to firmly deny the rumor that her failure to sign on to Prospect Park precipitated the company's decision not to move forward with the online relaunch of the series at this time. "I want my fans to know the truth," she wrote. "There has been miscommunications as a result of statements in the press that I am one of the reasons that All My Children is not moving forward. This is simply untrue and not the case. We have been in discussions since Prospect Park first expressed interest in moving the series online, and in correspondence dated September 8th, I made it clear that I would be ecstatic to be a part of All My Children in a prominent way if they committed to producing the series for another year. I have not heard back from Prospect Park since then, in fact, I learned of their decision not to proceed with All My Children at the same time you did, through the media. It's been a privilege and honor to be involved with the All My Children family for so many years, from working closely with Agnes Nixon to getting to know millions of devoted and wonderful fans.".
I saw that on Susan's FB yesterday too Java. I didn't get around to making a post here about it (did on my message board tho). Will do that now. It sure does seem like Susan is giving up doesn't it?
Kathy, it really does. I feel like the fans were led on by PP and they aren't going to follow through. What a total disservice to the cast, crew, fans and especially Ms. Nixon. This is upsetting to me, to say the least.
I so wish if the show REALLY isn't going to continue, ABC would at least give us a 2 hour after the finale show. I was ok with the cliff hanger knowing the show was going on line. I am glad so many story lines were wrapped up, of course we all wanna know who, if anyone got shot. And will Jack really leave Erica for good? I don't want to wonder for the rest of my life.... LOL.
