Happy Birthday Tamara Braun!!!

Happy Birthday wishes to Tamara Braun (ex-Reese)!!  She celebrates her 40th birthday today!   Tamara recently spoke to SOD about her new role on Days and shared her thoughts about the cancellations of AMC and OLTL.  "It's a sad day in the world of soaps. We had all heard the rumors. I'm shocked that the announcement came for both on the same day. It's a blow. People thought it would be one or the other. It's also sad because this is a genre that has outlasted any other and now it seems like we're slowly saying goodbye to it.  ABC started my soap career.   I've always said [GH Casting Director] Mark Teschner saved my life. I was about to quit acting. But ABC launched me on this amazing path that I've been on where I've had a great opportunity to jump around and play great characters, not only on ABC, but also at NBC on DAYS.  I have a lot of friend who are now going to be out of work not only actors, but also writers, directors, producers and the incredible crew."

Tamara Braun Wins Emmy!!

Tamara Braun (ex-Reese) beat out both Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama category. She won for her role of Ava on Days. Congrats Tamara!!!

Tamara Braun Gets Cast on Saving Grace!

Tamara Braun (ex-Reese) has been cast in a recurring role of Renee Ellen on TNT's hit primetime drama Saving Grace. She show stars Holly Hunter (who has just been nominated for an Emmy for her role as Grace Hanadarko). The show airs on Tuesday nights at 10:00 pm EST. A first air date for Tamara has not yet been announced.

Leading soap guru Michael Fairman has recently interviewed several big names with AMC. Check out the indepth candid interview he did with Tamara Braun (Reese) for The Advocate.com. Tamara spells out her feelings about the direction the Bianca/Reese storyline took without casting blame or throwing anyone under the bus. A lesson a certain AMC writer needs to learn, a little something called class.

New Hilarious Web Series!!!

This new web series on YouTube puts out there what a lot of fans are thinking! Recently in an interview with TV Guide, AMC Headwriter, Charles Pratt, Jr. blamed star Eden Riegel (Bianca) for the problems with the Reese/Bianca storyline. This is not sitting well with fans and one took it to a whole new level!!! Check out the hysterical AMC: Pratt Falls and sit in on a conversation between AMC EP Julie Hanan Carruthers and Mr. Pratt.

Bianca/Reese Auction Benefit!

Yesterday began the first day of an auction by a group of AMC fans in conjunction with Eden Riegel (Bianca) and Tamara Braun (Reese) in an effort to raise money to help support defeating Prop 8 in Califorina and support gay marriage. The first round of items went up for bids yesterday on Ebay, and will remain for seven days. You can see all the items up for bid by clicking here. If you are unable to bid, you can still get a chance to help out this very worthy cause! There will be raffles on a series of photos, magazine covers and "Defeat 8" posters signed by both Tamara Braun and Eden Riegel, and just signed by Eden Riegel. For every $5.00 donated, it will get you 3 raffle tickets and chances to win one of those prizes. The raffles will run from the April 17 - 29. CASTING NEWS - Tamara Braun out!

Hot on the heels of Eden Riegel's return, we have Tamara Braun's exit! And this is how it was meant to be all along. Through the months, we've been getting hints and looks at how the Bianca/Reese love story would play out. Now that Reese knows without a doubt that her heart belongs to Bianca, she wants everyone to know. And when Bianca returns it is only she that Reese needs to prove it to. They leave together for Paris in late April/early May to work on their damaged relationship together.

Tamara Braun (Reese) attended the fundraising event, Defying Inequality: The Broadway Concert - A Celebrity Benefit for Equal Rights on Monday, February 23. The one night only event was held at the Gershwin Theatre in NYC. Stars of both the stage and the screen came out for this worthy cause, benefiting several equal rights organizations. $400,000 was raised!!!!

AMC Nominated for GLAAD Award!!!

This year, the GLAAD Media Awards will be celebrating their 20th anniversary! They honor media representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. Only two soaps are nominated in the Outstanding Daily Drama category, AMC and ATWT. This years ceremonies will be held in New York on March 28, 2009 at the Marriott Marquis; in Los Angeles on April 18 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE; and in San Francisco on May 9 at the Hilton San Francisco.

Reese's Past Comes to Pine Valley!!

This week, Bianca finds out that Reese was once engaged to a man. But on December 30, she meets him! Aussie born Adam-Jon Fiorentino has been cast as Simon, the man from Reese's past. He can currently be seen in Broadway's Mary Poppins as Bert.

CASTING NEWS!! Reese's father comes to PV!

AMC has cast veteran daytimer, Frank Runyeon, in the recurring role of Forrest Williams, Reese's (Tamara Braun) father. He begins filming in the next couple of weeks and should be seen on screen in around mid-December. Looks like there will be some tension between father and daughter as we learn that Reese's family has not be as accepting as Bianca's. Back in the 80's, Frank played Steve to Meg Ryan's Betsy on ATWT, a very popular couple back then. He has since appeared in guest roles on many shows but his main focus has been biblical plays.

Bianca is Coming Home with a Girlfriend!!! UPDATED

Eden Riegel will be reprising her role on AMC as the very popular and much loved Bianca Montgomery!!! She arrives back in Pine Valley on October 17 in the aftermath of a big event that happens in Pine Valley around that time, to help her family heal. And the best news of all, this not going to be a few episode visit. This is going to be a contract visit!

Arriving with Bianca is of course, her daughter Miranda. And soon after, on October 30, we will meet Bianca's girlfriend, Reese Williams who will join her lady love in Pine Valley. AMC welcomes Tamara Braun (best known as Carly on GH, and most recently Ava on Days) to the cast as Reese!

Wow, first David and now Bianca and company. What can we expect next? Who do you think will be the next big return. New writer Charles Pratt, Jr. promises even more surprises to come. I'm putting my vote in right now for Brooke!!
