Happy Birthday Alexandra Daddario!!!

Happy Birthday wishes to Alexandra Daddario!!  She played the high school girlfriend of JR Chandler, Laurie Lewis and BFF turned rival to Joni Stafford (Amanda Seyfried)!  Alexandra can currently be seen in the movie Hall Pass.  She celebrates her 25th birthday today.

Cheer on Some AMC Kids!!

Tonight at the Empire Ballroom in the Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel in CA are the 32nd Annual Young Artist Awards and AMC kids are representing!  In the BEST PERFORMANCE IN A DAYTIME TV SERIES (Young Actor 12 and Under) Tate Berney (AJ) and Jake Vaughn (Spike) are both nominated.  And in the BEST PERFORMANCE IN A DAYTIME TV SERIES (Young Actress 12 and Under) MacKenzie Aladjem (Miranda) and Danielle Parker (Emma) are both nominated!  Best of luck to all the talented kids!

CASTING NEWS: Mariah Buzolin Comes to AMC!!

Mariah Buzolin arrives in Pine Valley on Tuesday, March 15 as Maya, the new maid at Chandler Mansion.  The pretty young thing will share scenes with Colby.   The Brazilian native has previously been seen in the TV series Lie to Me, Zoey 101 and in the movie Hotel for Dogs, among others!

Help Stephanie Gatschet Fight Lung Cancer!

Stephanie Gatschet (Madison) has a cause that is near and dear to her heart, and incidentally to mine too.  When her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer 5 years ago, she began supporting the National Lung Cancer Partnership in an effort to educate people about the disease and raise money.  Says Stephanie: "The stigma of lung cancer being a smoker's disease really stands in the way of getting the proper funding and awareness," she points out. "And it's so unfortunate, not only because it doesn't really matter if a person smoked or not -- no one deserves to get cancer -- but more than half of the people diagnosed with lung cancer now are non-smokers! Everyone should know about that, and the more we can remove the lung cancer conversation from the smoking relation, the more progress we'll make in curing it."  And this is so true.  One of my very dear friends was diagnosed with lung cancer back in July and she never smoked a day in her life.  I can't thank Stephanie enough for her part in raising awareness of this disease and on March 20 she is organizing a fundraiser, the Free To Breathe fundraising yogathon at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge, CA, which is actually where many of AMC's location shots are filmed.  Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca), Denise Vasi (Randi) and Jordi Vilasuso (Griffin) will all be taking part in the fundraiser with Stephanie and you can too!  Sign up or donate at FreeToBreathe.org.

Spoilers for this week are now posted!   Tad and Cara get married and Joe and Ruth are there to celebrate, woo hoo!!   Is it safe to say that seeing the two of them will be the highlight of the week?  I think so.  Also this week, Ricky amps up his efforts to find Zach's incriminating evidence, Cara confronts Amanda, FUSION is in trouble and Ryan is close to finding Emma!

 

Amanda Seyfried Talks AMC with Letterman!

I thought this was hilarious (aside from them wondering if AMC was even still on the air, come on!).  Amanda's (ex-Joni) so adorable and is definitely more at ease with the interview process.  I remember seeing her on The View when Mamma Mia just came out and the poor thing was so nervous she had hives! 

Congratulations Darnell Williams!!

Darnell Williams (Jesse) won the NAACP Image Award last night for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series!!!  Way to go!!  He beat out his on screen son, Cornelius Smith, Jr. (Frankie) for the award.  The Outstanding Actress award went to Tatyana Ali (Y&R).

Big Birthday Day!

March 5 is big on AMC birthdays! Celebrating his 83rd birthday today, is Ray MacDonnell.  AMC's Joe Martin will be back in Pine Valley this coming week!.

Also today, newlywed TC Warner celebrates her 34th birthday!!
