Aiden Turner Up for Big Role!!

Ace Showbiz is reporting that Aiden Turner (ex-Aidan) is in the running for the title role in the Starz original series, Spartacus:  Blood and Sand.  Andy Whitfield, who originated the role in the series, has had to drop out due to a recurrence of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  The actor is undergoing aggressive treatment.

Up against Aiden for the role are Stephen Amell and Liam McIntyre.  All three candidates will be in New Zealand this week for a screen test and the choice will probably be made this week since filming is to begin soon.  Good luck Aiden!!!

Spoilers for the Week of November 7!!

Spoilers up!   This week seems to be all about Asher... he taunts JR, he taunts Caleb, he bonds with Opal and Colby.  Elsewhere, Ryan and Greenlee go on the run, Zach and Kendall make big plans, and Brot and Natalia move forward!

On another note, the PVB server crashed yesterday, taking the back up server with it. Which means, every single thing I ever posted on the PVB (before it became the blog) is gone. GONE. I will have to re-upload everything. 12 years of everything that I have. Every graphic, every bio, every archived Editorial, everything has been wiped out.    So if you're noticing things aren't quite right, that is why.  I don't know how long it will take to fix it all but I'm working with my server to get it all back.  Thanks!

Happy Birthday Sam Page!

Happy Birthday wishes to Sam Page!  AMC jailbound Trey Kenyon (hey isn't it time to get him out of the clink already??) celebrates his 34th birthday today.  Sam was most recently seen on a few episodes of the CW's Gossip Girl and will be a guest star on the December 6 episode of the ABC drama Castle.

CASTING NEWS: Thorsten Kaye Says Goodbye, For Good

Well it's the news many AMC fans have been dreading.  SOD is reporting Thorsten Kaye (Zach) is leaving AMC again, with no plans for a return.  While on a trip to help Ryan and Greenlee prove their innocence, Zach's plane crashes and Zach is presumed dead.   You know how these things go in soaps, there is no body found, which leaves the door open for Thorsten to return some day if circumstances change.  But he has made it clear from the very beginning when AMC relocated to LA that he would not be moving there because his family is in NYC.   The eventual plan, after an intense period of mourning, is to move Kendall on with new character, Griffin Castillo, played by Jordi Vilasuso, who joins AMC on November 15.   So... no Adam, no David, no Zach.  Kinda sucks doesn't it?

Susan Lucci on Dr. Oz!!

Susan Lucci (Erica) will be appearing on The Dr. Oz Show on Friday, November 5.  In the special "Ask Dr. Oz" segment, Susan will be asking the doctor for information about AFib, a cause she and her husband hold very dear.  The Dr. Oz Show is syndicated, please check local listings for time and channel.

Rebecca Budig to Skate with the Stars!!!

Last night, ABC announced it's new Dancing with the Stars spinoff, Skating with the Stars and Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) has been tapped as one of the stars!  She will be paired with Fred Palascak when the show debuts on Monday, November 22 on ABC.  Other stars set to compete are Bethenny Frankel, Jonny Moseley, Vince Neil, Brandon Mychal Smith and Sean Young.  Check out the Zap2it interview with Rebecca, for her reaction!

Eden Riegel Expecting!!!

Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca) and husband Andrew Miller are expecting their first child this May!!  Eden is now on Young & the Restless, and Andrew, in addition to writing Eden's web series Imaginary Bitches, is writing a pilot for the CW network.  Andrew and Eden met through her then co-star Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and wed in September of 2007.  Congratulations!!!!!!

Two Sad Break Ups

While ABC Soaps in Depth is reporting that Vincent Irizarry (David) and his wife of 13 years, Avalon have been separated for many months and are in the process of a divorce, word came down today that Aiden Turner (Aidan) and his wife of 5 years, Megan, are also divorcing.  So sorry to hear this news!

Melissa Claire Egan Guests on Criminal Minds

Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) guest stars on the CBS hit drama, Criminal Minds on Wednesday, November 3.  She plays the role of Tara, an exotic dancer.  In the story, three exotic dancers have been murdered after finishing up a night at work.  Melissa's character works with one of the murdered women.  Criminal Minds airs at 9 pm EST.
