CASTING NEWS: Thorsten Kaye Returns!

As previously reported, Thorsten Kaye (Zach) expressed interest in returning before AMC ends in September.... September 23 being the final airdate, and it's going to happen!   No details or a first airdate have been released but the official word is that Zach will be returning this summer.  Cady McClain's (Dixie) return will be a bit sooner, with her first airdate being next week, May 17.

Happy Birthday Jamie Luner!!

Sorry to Jamie for being a day late... Blogger was being a little temperamental yesterday.  Jamie celebrated her 40th birthday yesterday!  Also celebrating a birthday yesterday...  Linda Dano (ex-Rae) celebrated her 68th birthday.  Christian Campbell (ex-Bobby) celebrated his 39th birthday.  And Forbes March celebrated his 38th. 

Daytime Emmy Nominations Updated!!

Daytime Emmy nominations were announced this morning.  This year the Emmy's will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 19 with Wayne Brady as the host.  AMC received a total of 13 nominations.  Not too shabby for a canceled show.  So without any further ado, here are the nominations.

Susan Lucci on The View - Wednesday

Tune into The View tomorrow, Wednesday, May 11.  Susan Lucci (Erica) will be a guest on the show to talk about her book and most assuredly the cancellation.  The View airs on ABC at 11 am EST. 

Are the Big Returns in the Works?

It looks like they are!   With Cady McClain's (Dixie) return already confirmed, fans are wondering who else AMC plans to bring back before their swan song in September.  Although there is no official word yet, Thorsten Kaye (Zach) revealed on his official website yesterday that he is bringing Zach back to Pine Valley, alive and in the flesh this summer.  

And what about David Canary (Adam) and Julia Barr (Brooke)?  With Agnes Nixon and Lorraine Broderick back in the drivers seat at AMC, it seems there is a good chance we will see these two AMC icons before the end.  Storyline penned by Broderick and overseen by Nixon begins airing on May 27.

Spoilers are now posted!  This week, Erica comes face to face with her captor and who she sees is a shock!!  Marissa comes to Bianca's defense, Madison finds out about Scott and Greenlee's deal from a rather unlikely source,  Jack, Caleb and Asher are caught in an explosion and Icky Ricky wants to get down/make love with Kendall.  EW!   Seriously, it's pretty amazing how they've made this hot guy so repulsive.

AMC Stars Attend Something Borrowed Premiere!

Chrishell Stause (Amanda) and Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Annie) went out to the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 3 for the world premiere of Something Borrowed, starring former castmate Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh)!

Finn Wittrock Hits Off Broadway!!

Finn Wittrock (ex-Damon) has been cast in the off Broadway production of Tony Kushner's The Illusion.  The play centers on a lawyer who searches for the son he drove out of his life years earlier and meets up with a wizard who shows him the amazing life his son has lived without him.  It is adapted from Pierre Coneille's L'Illusion Comique.  Performances begin on May 17 at The Peter Norton Space at 555 W. 42nd St with opening night on June 5.  For tickets, visit The Peter Norton Space website.
