An autopsy is performed? It's kind of hard to come back from an autopsy. Well, Mike Roy was cremated and he managed to compose himself enough to get back to Pine Valley. But, seriously, how would the writers get out of this if Vincent really is in negotiations and could come back?

Easy one Joseph, it's not really David. He found a random dead woman to be Greenlee for her autopsy, why not find a random dead guy for himself?

Why do I always feel like I'm being misled and not because the writers intend to mislead but because they are too stupid to write an intelligent storyline that doesn't drag on until we don't care the outcome. I see it happening again. David is a character I "love to hate." And, Kathy, I can't believe TPTB wouldn't kiss Vincent's feet to get him to stay. Ryan and JR just don't fit the bill. "My man" Tad is good in his own sort of way, but I still can't believe they had him bury "the good doc" alive. So out of character for Tad. Tad could never the "evil." :-)

meant to say: evil one

good to bring Nurse Gail back.

Have her help the conspiracy.

David killed himself. Its so obvious.

the poison from the drink Ryan spilled before they fought got into his cuts and killed him.

Idiot writers.

Oh, please..look I love VI too, will miss him if he does leave but it's not like the show never survived w/o him. Another thing I can't believe I'm hearing is people saying that JR can't cut it, this type of BS most importantly to the site runner who's spewing it off. Just b/c David may not be on or brought back doesn't mean you have to do the 5 yr. old thing ripping on JR who is played wonderfully by Jacob Young. Yes he is capable of taking the reigns over, will he, who knows.

Citron, it wasn't a rip on Jacob Young, hell I never even mentioned his name! I'm discussing a character and it was a rip on the fact that JR is young, and he can't keep up with the "big boys". JR is essentially in his (maybe) mid-20's and cannot IMO, keep up with the likes of Adam or David. He's barely holding his own with the much weaker character of Scott. That is what my comment about him was about. There's a reason why Zach, David, hell even Caleb now, call him Junior, not JR.

Jr. isn't even capable of handing his simple minded wife Marissa.

How could anyone think someone as weak minded as Jr. Easily duped and hot tempered not to mention a sucker for a drink, can manipulate and play the game as good as David.

and while I like Jacob Young, I still don't think he's in the same league as Vincent. Maybe some more time exploring this role as the head Chandler will lead to that but, for years he's been Junior. A snot nosed brat who can't compare to the legacy of his father.

To suddenly expect the actor or the character to do a 180 is bad judgement and could only result from MORE bad writing. People change slowly, not overnight.

Kathy you basically spewed if it was you, how JR can't handle the mantle or something like that, no the hack writers never gave JY a chance. To the VI fans I love him too, but this BS about JY not being able to step in, you do realize JY is 20+ yrs. younger and has more nominations and an emmy at a younger age than VI did.

Kathy so what if Caleb calls him Junior, so freaking what if the character is in his 20's WOW so you have to be 40 to be considered a power threat? get off that thought, you give JR some wins instead of falling off the wagon SLs you'll see the difference. JY has been getting praises everywhere, do you realize he's 30 yrs. old and considered to be the next villain on this show. Even if people don't want to admit the day the VI news came out the remarks came about JR and JY not being able to do this or that. He is FULLY capable of getting it done. JY has sacrificed so much for this show, contract, SLs, hair, he deserves this period where his character becomes what it was meant to be.

Now on the VI news, it's his decision, he's choosing whether to stay or go, otherwise he'd had release a statement about hoping the show takes him back not about "If I do decide to return"
I think he'll take a short-medium vacation, but that's just me.

To cintron24:
I, too, called out both Ryan and JR - THE CHARACTERS, not the actors portraying their roles. I did not say Jacob Young can't do the job. I said his character is written as a "non-leader." I will stand by that personal evaluation.

You might be new to this blog and I'd suggest that you back it down a notch. We're a pretty friendly bunch here. We agree to disagree but we don't attack other posters so strongly as you have. With maturity comes wisdom - something the character known as "Junior" has yet to achieve.

Citron, it doesn't matter to me what everyone is saying. I say how I feel, because that's all I can do. I'm not sure why my opinion is "spew" and everyone else's is gospel. But whatever. I'll continue to think however the heck I want to. You do the same. Thanks.

Wow, someone's got quite a crush on JY.

Citron, it isn't a question whether or not Jacob Young can play a villian. It goes without saying that Jacob Young has been playing the "bad boy" role for years. But that's just it. He's a BAD BOY not a VILLIAN. David is the classic love-to-hate villian. He always does the wrong thing, because people expect it, and he's able to get out of every rough patch and avoid prison sentences. JR is wishy-washy. One month he's good, and the next he's bad. When he's good people love him. When he's bad people hate him...because he does bad stuff for all the wrong reasons. It's not delightful to see JR try to kill Babe, cheat on his wife, or fall off the wagon for the upteenth time. We, as fans, don't love it, but we accept it because it's JR's throughline. David on the other hand is deliciously devious. David does bad things for all the right reasons! It IS delightful to see David drug a boatload of guests, torment the town's citizens, and weasel his way out of another crime. THAT is David's throughline. I think that is EXACTLY the point that Kathy, Little Libby, and the other posters are trying to make. Jacob Young is perfectly capable of playing a villian. JR is a BAD BOY...David and Adam are VILLIANS!

David, I'm not sure I agree with your analysis of Adam and David. I think part of what makes them compelling is that they do flirt with goodness from time to time. For a large portion of Adam's marriage to Krystal, he was a good guy. Same could be said for him during his marriage to Annie. And right before David and Greenlee got married and a short period after, David was a good guy too. Just like JR, Adam and David flirt back and forth between being good and bad. If they didn't do this, there would be no depth to their characters. A character who makes all the wrong decisions all the time is no more interesting than a character who makes all the right decisions all the time. However, Adam and David certainly spend a lot more time being bad than good, and when they're bad, they're really bad and delicious. While JR, during his bad times, is portrayed more as a tragic fallen hero, Adam and David are definitely fun villains.

The draw is/was that he was justified to some degree.

Having everyone he loved snatched from him, you understood why he was the way he was. Seeing his father commit suicide in front of his eyes as a child.

Leo Vanessa, Babe, his baby with anna, Trevor being kidnapped from him, Marissia being hidden from him, AJ being shielded from him.

Having to turn his back on Trey.

You understood the complexities they built with David and that is NOT present in any other character at the moment.

"the complexities they built with David and that is NOT present in any other character at the moment."

"the newserials": Thank you. Your statement is so accurate.

And I want to reinterate: I was NOT bashing Jacob Young, but Junior, the character.
