Thank You PVB Readers!
It was 10 years ago today that the Pine Valley Bulletin was launched. Having worked on another site for several years, I was ready to branch out on my own. I planned the launch to coincide with my big story and first hand account from Super Soap Weekend that year. I'll never forget, the front page showed Marcy Walker's (ex-Liza) birthday (November 26) and featured that very special SSW story.

This past year brought about a lot of changes. I went from a one woman show for nine years, to taking on a partner. Thanks to Pasha for his tireless work on the biography information on the PVB. We also went to the blog format which has been absolutely wonderful. I get a lot of emails asking why I don't do comings and goings anymore and the answer to that is, I do!!! They are on the blog, in real time, as they happen. If you're unsure how blogs work, check out this link for a little tutorial.
Through it all, there is one thing that hasn't changed. My love for AMC. Oh I may get mad at it now and again. I may want to throw things at my TV screen from time to time. But what brings us all back together is our love for this show. AMC and the PVB is a family, and I couldn't have made it this long without all the love, support and care of that family. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart to all of you for always coming back to the PVB. Here's to another 10 years!

Alicia Minshew (Kendall), along Grant Aleksander (ex-Alec) and Elizabeth Hubbard (ATWT) will be guest staring on the new ABC hit drama Life on Mars, Thursday night, November 13 at 10 pm EST. The three soap stars play, you guessed it, soap stars. This could turn into a recurring role for the soapsters!

Spoilers for the Week of November 10!!!

Wednesday, November 12 will feature the ghost of Aggie (played by AMC creator Agnes Nixon), one of the first settlers to Pine Valley. The show will commemorate AMC's 10,000th episode and will be dedicated to the late Eileen Herlie (Myrtle).

Eileen Herlie, Remembered

On December 18, Erica will phone Zach with the news of Myrtle's passing. Then on December 19, those closest to her, Erica, Zach, Bianca and Opal, will all receive gifts from Myrtle and look back at their time with her in flashbacks as the town gathers for a memorial service at Zach's newly rebuilt casino. Zach names a room at the casino in her honor, the "Fargate Carnival Room." Oh my, I'm crying already!
Meet Brot!
Tomorrow, November 7, JR Martinez will make his AMC debut as Taylor's presumed dead fiancee, Brot Monroe. The story background is that Taylor believed
Brot was killed in Iraq and he chose to let her continue believing it because of the extent of his injuries.
Martinez, a real life Iraq War veteran, was injured in Iraq in 2003 when the vehicle he was driving hit a landmine. He sustained severe burns to 40 percent of his body, spending 34 months in the hospital and undergoing 32 surgeries. He is now a national spokesman for the Coalition of Salute American's Heroes.
On today's show, AMC will feature other real life Iraq War veterans telling their own unscripted stories. It reminds me of the way AMC featured real life transgenders telling their stories, unscripted, to Zoe (Jeffrey Carlson).

Susan's Mambo Shines!!
Although close to the chopping block again, Susan has made it past week seven of Dancing with the Stars. One thing did confuse me during the results show last night though. Host Tom Bergeron said that although the two couples were in danger of being eliminated, he said it didn't necessarily mean they were both in the
bottom two. So if Susan wasn't in the bottom two, why not put the couple that was in the bottom other than Corky and Cloris on the chopping block instead of Susan?? I didn't get that.
Susan got raves from Carrie Ann and guest judge Michael Flatley for her Mambo. Bruno wasn't as complimentary but he still scored her well. It was during the "old skool hip hop" dance number that Susan stumbled quite a bit. I give her a lot of credit for going out and doing it. Cloris just stood on the stage and posed. It was well past Cloris's time to be eliminated and thankfully she was.

CASTING NEWS!!! Rebecca Confirms Departure!

Alicia Minshew says "I do"!!

Cameron Mathison (Ryan) will be the only cast member at the small family oriented affair but only in an official capacity. Cameron served as photographer at Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Bob Guiney's wedding several years ago and Alicia loved the pictures so much, she wanted him to take the pictures at her wedding too!
While Kendall is in a coma Alicia will be taking a short hiatus from AMC to get married, honeymoon and just spend some time with her new husband and her family. But she will be returning! She has just signed a new contract with the show.
Spoilers for the Week of October 27!!

Close Call for Susan on DWTS!!!!

Call me crazy but to have Toni get the ax over Cloris Leachman seems like a big injustice. Cloris's entertainment value ended after the first day for this viewer, and the schtick has worn out it's welcome. It's time to send Cloris packing and let the real contenders duke it out!

AMC Films 10,000th Show Today!!!

Only two original cast members remain, Susan Lucci (Erica) and Ray MacDonnell (Joe). But just what AMC has in store for viewers for this milestone, we're going to have to wait until November to see! But here's a taste, to Susan's right is AMC creator, Agnes Nixon, who will be appearing on the 10,000th show as the ghost of one of the first settlers in Pine Valley.
