Lorraine Broderick Named Head Writer!!!

No April Fool's this time, I promise!!   ABC Soaps In Depth tweeted two great pieces of news... AMC is not being canceled (rumors persist) and Lorraine Broderick has been named as head writer!   This is AWESOME news.  AMC under Broderick is a much much better AMC.  Things are looking up!  (No word on whether or not David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski are out or just relieved of head writing duties).

It seems weird that this would be released on a Saturday night, but I certainly hope it's true! Just during her interim HW period last year, Lorraine gave us Dixie, Brooke, and Janet...BRING BACK FAN FAVES!!!

Boy do I hope so. You know --- if it ABC was 100% certain AMC was to be cancelled, why hire a new, good writer? Maybe, just maybe, they're trying to revive it ... we can hope!

Well, I was about ready to check out for a while. I might have to stick around. Her few months last year were pretty awesome.

It will be so great to have her as Head Writer; you just know when David said, "If this place were a chocolate factory, the Martins would be the Oompa Loompas" came straight from Lorraine's pen; no one else can come up with this stuff, certainly not Kreizman or Swajeski... Here's to hoping her new status keeps AMC on for a long, long time.

Give people time...I'm sure they'll turn on Lorraine too.
